Not only is this a new development for Vreden, but it is also unique in our region: young people and their parents can now find out about the apprenticeship opportunities offered by companies in Vreden using the Jugendwerk app.

Companies in Vreden are showcasing more than 250 apprenticeship places across 55 occupational fields in the new ‘Apprenticeships’ menu item. However, the app not only provides information on apprenticeship opportunities, but also includes details of work placements and dual study programmes.

All businesses in Vreden can use this information platform free of charge. The content is continuously updated and expanded. The app also offers benefits for job applicants. Pre-filled forms are already available within the app, which can be completed there. Prospective applicants can then submit their applications at the touch of a thumb.

“The new training section underlines our long-term commitment to the app’s further development and represents the next step towards modern digital youth work,” emphasises Johannes Terhürne, founder and managing director of the start-up conduco labs, which developed the app on a pro bono basis for and in collaboration with Jugendwerk Vreden. Markus Funke, educational director at Jugendwerk Vreden, adds: “The new section expands our digital activities to include career guidance, thereby offering all young people a direct point of contact to ensure they are as well prepared as possible for life after school.”

As well as the new ‘Home’ section in the JugendCampus app, the town of Vreden continues to promote the service on its website at ausbildung.vreden.de.

“An innovative way to publicise training opportunities in Vreden,” said Mayor Dr Tom Tenostendarp. “Particularly with a view to the upcoming ‘Aufwind 2022’ business fair, the app will be promoted in schools across the surrounding towns and cities.”

The JugendCampus app is now available via the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store can be downloaded. On devices where the app is already installed, the update will be installed automatically. “We look forward to seeing this service being used extensively,” said Jörg Lenhard, coordinator of the City of Vreden’s Training Working Group.

By the way: we’re also listed on the JugendCampus app as a training provider . For the 2023 training year, we’re offering a training place for a media designer (m/f/d). You can find the job advertisement here:
